Pastor Jordan Sorber moved to South Florida when he was 7 years old. He is the oldest of 4, and son of the Senior Pastor Paul Sorber. He has been blessed to work closely as a lay leader for the last several years and is excited to embark on this journey as the full time Pastor of Adult Ministries.
Jordan attended Liberty University where he received his BS in Biblical Studies with an emphasis on Pastoral Leadership, Theology, and Greek. He intends on continuing his education with the desire to receive his Master of Divinity.
Jordan has a heart for evangelism and discipleship and has been to several countries to share the love of Jesus Christ with those who are broken and lost. He spent 6 months teaching English in Korea and has been to Uganda to give aid to orphanages.
Jordan has spent the last two years as the Bible teacher and basketball coach at Lake Worth Christian. He is still involved with chapel leadership and coaching basketball.
Jordan is married to his beautiful wife Anna, and has a little girl named Addison and a beautiful baby boy named Judah. His interests are most sports, going to the gym, and spending quality time with friends.
The priorities for Pastor Jordan’s ministry at West Pines involve loving God and loving people. He puts that into practice with his leadership in all the adult ministries. His main focus is leading the Point (college age students), developing the Adult Bible Fellowships, and integrating an assimilation team at West Pines.
Jordan’s desire is to effectively put Isaiah 61:1 (“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captive and release from darkness for the prisoners”) into practice.
